201 - Rockhampton Roller Cancel

Rockhampton post office, 100 km north west of Gladstone, opened on 1 April 1858

A vertical roller with the numeral 201 above 5 thick horizontal bars then repeated. Earliest known use is 1869. Not seen on any other Queensland numeral

  • Sideface Roller cancel is rated 2R. Only seen up to 1896
