Cressbrook post office, 5 km north east of Toogoolawah, opened on 28 January 1886 and closed in February 1905. It moved to Moorabool, 6 km west of Toogoolawah, in February 1905 and the post office was renamed first Kannungar on 10 November 1905 and then Kannangur on 18 June 1906
